# Wastage

**Waste** refers to stock quantity adjustments made to keep inventory levels accurate.

#### To record waste for a stock item:

1. Navigate to **Settings** → **Stock**.
2. Select the stock item you want to adjust.
3. Click the **[-]** sign.
4. Enter the waste quantity and save.

This process will decrease the total available quantity for the stock item.
